The crane runways are designed for travel of lifting equipment. They are usually consist of a crane runway girder and a welded-on railway. Runway is characterised by its safe load, dimension and the module (the longitudinal distance of crane runway supports). For higher load capacity ca from 100t the rail can be separate, fixed on the runway by rectifiable supports. Each crane runway design is subject to current Eurocodes and, upon installation, must be geodetically determined. Its shape must conform to valid standards.
